A Premier Dressage Facility
Lake Norman Dressage Center in Mooresville, North Carolina
Boarding
We believe to create the happy athlete, the horses in our care need management programs tailored to their individual needs.
This includes the newest research in equine nutrition, whole foods and whole food supplements, a safe, supervised turnout environment and the best in technical farrier work, as well as a personalized natural barefoot hoof routine for those horses that can go without shoes. (That’s more horses that one might think!)
Our feeding programs can be tailored to fit the special needs of each individual horse and the horses at our facility NEVER go without hay unless there is a weight issue. We have done extensive research, including hiring an equine nutrition vet who analyzed multiple samples of our pasture grass and hay to come up with proper mineral balancing so our horses remain healthy, fit, and avoid common issues like metabolic syndrome, laminitis, and founder. We continue test hay and grass regularly.
Also, we have multiple veterinarians who come to our facility, including several equine chiropractors. We encourage boarders to look into alternative therapies for persistent problems that confound traditional medicine. We have learned time and time again, that most training issues are discomfort or pain issues at the core, even if it takes some investigation to find the problem. We will leave no stone unturned to uncover the truth behind any resistence to training our horses might encounter.
Our horses are worth it!
